Medical students who will be in their first or second year of university in 2010 can apply for a place in the John Flynn Placement Program from Monday, 1 February. While the number of new places available annually has doubled from 150 to 300, the competition for places has also increased. The application process will be conducted online this year, making it easier for students and the evaluation panel. Successful students will spend two weeks each year over four consecutive years in the same community with the same doctor mentor.
