The National Rural Health Students' Network (NRHSN) represents 25 Rural Health Clubs (RHC) with over 6500 members located at universities throughout Australia. The NRHSN is a multidisciplinary Network.

National Rural Faculty Medical Student Bursary

The National Rural Faculty Medical Undergraduate Student Bursary 2009

The award is offered by the National Rural Faculty (NRF) of the RACGP to a medical student who is a member of a Rural Health Club at an Australian University. The bursary includes flights, 2 nights accommodation and registration to GP'09 The Conference for General Practice to be held in Perth from 1-4 October 2009.

In order to be eligible for the award, students must write a short essay of no greater than 1000 words in response to a set question:

"How can rural GPs 'Fill the Gap' in the wide open spaces?"

Applications re now open and must be received no later than Friday 19th June 2009. Further information and nomination forms are available online.
