Life Membership Life Membership is an award that recognises the outstanding contribution of members to the NRHSN, and is awarded following a call for nominations from the Executive and voted on by Council. Nominees must have made an exemplary contribution to the NRHSN or their Rural Health Club for a period of greater than one year and must not currently be a member of the NRHSN, a Rural Health Club, the NRHSN Executive or Council.
Life Membership was established in 2009, and 8 people were awarded the honour in the inaugural year, however 3 is the maximum number of Life Members admitted annually from 2010 and is seen as the greatest honour the NRHSN can award.
