It was with some apprehension that I boarded the RAW bus in the early hours of October. I may be from ‘rural’ Hobart but I am a city girl essentially. My mind was put at ease by chatting to my fellow RAWgins on the long trip up. We arrived at Oakfields and it was stunning, so much land and so many animals. I have to admit I wasn’t thrilled at sleeping in an army tent on a tiny sleeping mat surrounded by thistles, but I quickly got over it after a first night of bonfires and marshmallows.
