Vibe Alive is a two day festival that promotes Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander cultures. It is a chance to discover more about rural Australia and learn about the importance of healthcare in Indigenous communities. It is also a fun way to meet people from all over NSW (and from other rural health clubs!!!) and to be able to talk about why you love studying a health career. For more information on this event: Vibe Alive
PAST EVENTS:

Getting Plastered- O Week 2009
This event went off with a bang as the first event of 2009. With a witty combination of getting plastered in all ways possible (there's only two so think!) it was a great chance for new health students to get acquainted with rural health for the first time while enjoying plenty of drinks on the warm summer's afternoon. Many new members joined us in getting the year started the rural way!
RHSV to Nowra and Ulladulla
This was RHUUWS’ latest get away to the countryside with the intent of sharing our passion of studying a health degree with rural high school students. We traveled down to the south coast and there we met up with SHARP members from the University of Wollongong at the Nowra health careers expo. The rural high school students were great fun and it was exciting to be able to share information that we knew could influence their lives and the future of rural health. RHUUWS members also got a chance to visit some local attractions and to mingle with rural health practitioners who shared with us their passion of practicing in a rural area. Be sure to join us on the Semester 2 RHSV in August 2009!
