As a rural medical student, I have a strong interest in rural Australia. This is demonstrated through previous roles in other organisations including a rural executive position on the NSW Young Labor board, charter President of the Griffith NSW Rotaract Club and District Rotaract Representative for d9700 in western NSW. Besides these positions I have held other positions at an international and National level, am a former White Ribbon Ambassador and 2020 AMSA Rural Health Summit conference secretary. I want this position to give back. I have skills that I feel can make a positive contribution to an organisation and would like to volunteer my time and expertise in assisting with that.

1. Currently have access to multiple platforms for course and other groups including WhatsApp, Slack and multiple emails. 2. Can be available with adequate notice but may be unavailable for some exams (can provide notice in advance for these). 3. No experience 4. Previous rural based health committees and have lived in rural NSW most of my lifetime. 5. Please see previous entry. 6,7,8 – please see previous entry. This is numerous but am happy to discuss in person. Experience in political media interviews, conference workshop presenter at international conference, numerous stakeholder meetings as part of professional roles and council committees, AMSA RHS Secretary; years of Windsor meeting style meeting chairing and minute taking 9. I have read through the role of the committee and understand its role as both a representative committee as well as its extension as a negotiating and lobbying entity to ensure we can run a strong service for rural members. 10. Having undertaken one of my previous degrees in rural NSW along with other allied health professionals and working as a sleep technician in a private hospital, I have appreciated and participated in the multidisciplinary team and its approach to rural health. 11. I have read these papers in the past but need to update my knowledge. 12. Previous experience in executive roles within different organisations.(please see previous entry) 13. As an engineer, I managed my workload as well as supervised people. As a sleep tech I looked after patients and as a research assistant I would manage up to 14 different projects at a time, delivering outcomes and completing tasks to achieve the goals required. 14. Previous work in private, local and state government as well as medical environment has prepared me professionally. 15/16. In research I work closely with doctors and academics to reach research project goals and outcomes, meet patients and prepare ethics and research protocols.
