2023 NRHSN Executive Committee

The NRHSN Executive Committee is now accepting applications for open positions. Applicants must ensure they are available for the below key periods:

  • 29 July 2022 – All position applications open
  • 12 August 2022 – All position applications close
  • 19 August 2022 – Voting open
  • 26 August 2022 – Voting close
  • 19 & 20 November 2022 – Handover

Positions open for external applications

The following positions are now available for application for the 2023 NRHSN Executive Committee:

  • Vice Chair Internal
  • Vice Chair External
  • Community and Advocacy officer
  • Indigenous Officer
  • Publications Officer
  • Social Media Officer
  • Website Officer

How to apply

Written applications are to be completed in the Application Form by the closing date at 5pm AEST on 12th August 2022.

All positions on the Executive Committee are applied for as an individual.

Candidates can apply for more than one position on the Executive Committee but can only be elected into one position.

Written applications must include:

  • An introduction to the nominee (no more than 300 words)
  • A CV (no more than 500 words)
  • Response to the key selection criteria in the position descriptions via a YouTube video (instructions below)

For the 2023 election, the NRHSN will be trialling a new process for both internal and external elections by asking prospective candidates to submit a 2 – 3 minute video detailing the relevant experience and skills that make them suitable for their nominated role.

The election process will occur as follows:

  1. Carefully read the Position Description (see details in our NRHSN 2023 Executive Committee Election Handbook) relevant to their respective role.
  2. Create a 2 – 3 minute video (in MP4 format) detailing:
    1. Your name
    2. Your year, degree and university of study (e.g. 3rd year Medicine, JCU)
    3. Current role within RHC or NRHSN (e.g. Co-Chair of Club RHINO)
    4. The executive committee position you are nominating yourself for (e.g. Community and Advocacy Officer)
    5. Relevant experience, skills and knowledge that relate to the key selection criteria for your specific position
  3. Upload your video as an unlisted video on YouTube (see details in our NRHSN 2023 Executive Committee Election Handbook)
