Rural High School Visit to Campbell Town District High School

The rural high school visit to Campbell Town District High School ran on Monday 19th September and it was a great success.

UTAS health students from Hobart, Launceston and Burnie volunteered and ran health-related stations for year 7-12 students. The high school students were able to learn more about pathways into health careers through UTAS and also other pathways that do not involve university.

We offered the students the ability to learn some skills which included plastering, anatomy of the human body, CPR, taking blood pressure, testing reflexes and asthma and anaphylaxis management.

Overall, the high school students appeared to enjoy the day and we had great feedback from them and the school. This was a very successful visit and we look forward to hosting many more events similar to this.
