Welcome back to another exciting semester!

If you have signed up to FURHS in 2015, this is for you!
For the last seven months we’ve been using a temporary sign-up system as our National Rural Health Student Network (NRHSN) website and database were being upgraded.  We’re excited to let you know that our new website and membership portal are now up and running!  All members who had signed up prior to 2015 are already in our new system, but unfortunately members such as you who signed up this year couldn’t be transferred across.  In order to register your membership in the new system and to enjoy the full benefits as a NRHSN member we need you click on the following link and complete the sign up process.  
We will be giving away 3 double movie ticket passes to be drawn on Friday 21 August.  Any student who signs up to FURHS via the new system by midnight on Wednesday 19 August 2015 will automatically go in the draw to win!

Come along on a weekend full of clinical skills, rural health workshops, good food and awesome company.

RDAA Medical Student of the Year Award 2015
The RDAA Medical Student of the Year 2015 will receive $2,000 to support them in a rural health focused project, which could include a rural placement. Once the award winner has undertaken their project, they will be involved in RDAA, NRHSN and RHWA promotional activities as well as writing an article for the organisations’ publications.

2015 Australian Indigenous Doctors Association Conference
This year FURHS will be funding 5 students to become associate student members of AIDA and to attend the AIDA conference from 17-19 September 2015. Details of the conference can be found here:http://www.aida.org.au/events/aida2015/

Allied Health Event - Save the date!

A networking cocktail dinner with rural allied health professionals and nurses as guest speakers. A great opportunitiy for FURHS members to meet other allied health students.
