Outback immersion experiences, regional bus tours and networking events are all part of a national campaign that offers smart insights for emerging health professionals.
These events are hosted by the national network of Rural Workforce Agencies in partnership with Rural Health Workforce Australia and are funded by the Australian Government's Department of Health.
This year’s Go Rural campaign has been expanded to include nursing and allied health students as well as medical students.
The 2016 Go Rural campaign got underway with a student skills and information event hosted by Health Workforce Queensland on 19 March.
Forty health students got to try their hand at emergency resuscitation and solve critical case studies in topics such as diabetes, mental health and paediatrics.
