Prepare for your rural health career by finding a scholarship that’s right for you.

The following provides a sample list of scholarships available:

  • John Flynn Placement programProvides medical students with an opportunity to spend time in a rural or remote community under the guidance of a rural doctor.
  • Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship and Support SchemeFive scholarships available, including Clinical Placement, Clinical Psychology and an Undergraduate (Entry level) Scholarship. The clinical placement scholarship is designed to support allied health and oral health students to undertake a clinical placement in a rural or remote Australian community.
  • Rural Pharmacy Scholarship SchemeFinancial support for rural and remote students to undertake studies in pharmacy at university. It also includes a mentor scheme to provide support for the scholars.
  • NSW Rural Doctors Network ScholarshipsInclude the Bush Bursary, Country Women’s Association and Rural Resident Medical Officer Cadetships.
  • Give Them WingsScholarship for first year nursing and allied health students from regional and rural communities which includes a Royal Flying Doctor experience.
