National Rural Health Student Network. The future of rural health.

Executive Committee update:
Kicking goals in 2015

As your national Executive Committee, we committed to the following priorities for 2015:

  • Clear and supported rural training pathways.
  • Mental health training for university health students so they can care for themselves and others, particularly in rural areas where mental health is a major issue.
  • Positive rural training experiences, including increased placement support for  nursing and allied health students.
  • Enabling more Indigenous students to pursue health careers and provision of training in culturally appropriate practices for all health students.

Here is what we have delivered for the year…

Online wellbeing support for students

Yes, it’s exam time. Busy, busy, busy.

As we know, getting proper sleep, eating well and regular exercise all help people be at their best when the pressure is on.

We also know that being a student can be a challenging time throughout the year. That’s why our friends at beyondblue have created thedesk.

thedesk is a free wellbeing online program for Australian university students - find out how it can help you.
