Rural Workforce Agencies

Did you know there is a not-for-profit network dedicated to helping people like you carve out a career in rural health?

Rural Workforce Agencies are the go-to guides for career advice and assistance for aspiring rural doctors, nurses and allied health professionals.

They work with local practices, communities and other organisations to ensure rural Australia is served by a skilled, well-supported health workforce.

Every State and the Northern Territory has a government-funded Rural Workforce Agency. Each year they place more than 500 new health professionals in rural communities as well as providing ongoing assistance.

The agencies also run Go Rural events for Rural Health Club members and have listings of the latest rural health jobs.

The Network is represented nationally by Rural Health Workforce Australia, which manages and supports the NRHSN.
